Nano World Cancer Day in Trinity College

Nano World Cancer Day 2014 is being held on the 31st January and speakers representing CRANN and AMBER will give talks about their in the Trinity Long Room Hub on the day. The objective of this pan-European event is to hold simultaneously several press conferences in different leading regions of Europe to emphasise the role of nanomedicine to fight cancer.

The main goal of these talks is to obtain a wide visibility and raise awareness on the benefits of the diagnostic and the treatment options based on nanomedicine for patients suffering from cancer, including:

  • Where is the research?
  • What are the new methods of diagnosis and treatments in devel-opment?
  • What are the first results and benefits?
  • What are the products used every day?

From 10am in the Long Room Hub talks will be given on various aspects of cancer research by CRANN and AMBER PIs; Dr. Adriele Prina-Mello and Prof. Yuri Volkov.
